Srinagar Sep 28 (KNS): Mela Ram Sharma, a retired Information officer of Department of Information and Public Relations, J&K Govt has died at his residence Trikuta Nagar Jammu this morning. His cremation was held today at Cremation Ground Channi Himat at 2 PM in which a number of employees of DIPR participated.
The veterans of Information Department (VSOID), a group of retired officers and officials of Department have expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of their colleague. Recalling his association with them, they described him a great and helpful officer, who all along his tenure worked for the welfare of the employees of the department, especially the lower rung officials.
While expressing condolence and sympathies with bereaved family, they prayed for eternal peace to departed soul. Some of the Jammu based officials of DIPR and members of the group also participated in cremation and visited the bereaved family to console them.(KNS)
