Vivek Bali seeks reopening of Aharbal in Kulgam

Srinagar February 17 (KNS): Vivek Bali, State President of Jammu and Kashmir Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, on Tuesday visited Hadigam in Kulgam district and interacted with the media on various public issues.


According to a statement issued here, Bali welcomed the recent decision of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to reopen several tourist destinations across Kashmir. He described the move as positive and timely, stating that it would help boost tourism and strengthen local livelihoods.

He, however, raised concern over the exclusion of Aharbal Waterfall from the list of reopened destinations. Bali said Aharbal is a well known tourist spot with significant potential and plays an important role in supporting the local economy of Kulgam district.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He urged the administration to include Aharbal in the reopening list and ensure that the destination is opened at the earliest to allow tourism related activities to resume and benefit local residents.

Bali also called on the government to address the long pending issues faced by casual labourers and daily wagers. He emphasized the need for concrete measures to resolve their concerns and provide financial stability and job security.

Several local party workers and residents were present during the visit.(KNS)
