Samba May 30 (KNS):The Viksit KrishiSankalpAbhiyan (VKSA) a 15 days nationwiseintiatie by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare commended today in nine villages of three blocks of District Samba. The campaign aims to bring cutting edge agricultural knowledge directly to farmers, enhance field level interactions and collect grassroots level data for problem centric research. Under the direct supervision of Prof Sanjay Khajuria, District Nodal Officer and Dr. Rakesh Khajuria Joint Nodal Officer VKSA, Samba.
The VKSA programme will span across all 9 Blocks of Samba and to be conducted at 135 locations covering a wide range of agricultural topics and government schemes.
On day First, Scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendra and officers from allied agricultural sectors interacted with local farmers, introducing them to modern techniques and innovations in agricultureBaseline data from 20 farmers was collected on the spot for future reference and research and nine locations of Block Vijaypur, Ramgarh and Purmandal were successfully covered.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
On day Second, Scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendra and officers from allied agricultural sectors organized 09 nos. of programmes on VKSA at Village Sadoh, Glarh, Pangdour Village of Block Samba, Palli, Patli and KartholiVillage of Block Bari Brahmana, Darui, Motlikala, and Mananu Village of Block Nud. During the programmes, awareness was provided on key shcemes including PMFBY, PM-KISAN, KCC, HADP by the Scientists and officers.
All the programmes various agriculture scientists from KVK Samba, SKUAST Jammu and officers from line departments actively participated and interacted for solving the various onspot problems of the farming community.(KNS)
