Jammu, Jan 18 (KNS): Congress legislator from Banihal and former minister Vikar Rasool Wani today call the attention of government towards the damaged caused due to heavy blasting in railway tunnels in his assembly and also strongly raised the issue of railway labour's one month long strike at Khari area of Banihal constituency.
In a statement issued to KNS, Vikar Rasool Wani was speaking during zero hour in state assembly here today.
MLA Banihal said that several residential houses were completely damaged in Bankoot village of Banihal assembly segment due heavy blasting in railway tunnels and railway authorities are not serious in providing Compensation to the affected households.
Vikar Rasool Wani further added that government should ensure the full house and land compensation to the people falling alignment of railway track in this respective area, so that rehabilitation of affected people can be take into consideration.
MLA Banihal suggested the government to take serious notice of this issue so that people may not suffer due to heavy blasting in these tunnels.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Vikar Rasool Wani while speaking on the grants of labour and employment department said that government should enhance the wages rates, monthly salary to casuals and budgetary provision for the same,
Vikar Rasool said that educated Kashmiri youths are picking up the guns because of unemployment in the State, Burhan Wani a top HM commander is the live example of the same, he focused his serious concern on alarming rate of unemployment in the state and suggested that government should take positive steps towards job creations, and also demand employment to the locals in railway, hydro power projects and NHW construction projects in the state.
Vikar Rasool Wani also raise the issue of month long labour's strike at Khari Banihal who are on protest Dharna for fulfillment of their justified demands, but government inspite of providing justice to them is using administration pressure to curb their voice. He demand that the government should ensure negotiation of these agitated local youths who are struggling for justice there. (KNS)
