SRINAGAR, May 09 (KNS): Vice Chairman of district development council (DDC) Haji Farooq Ahmad felicitated the people on the sacred occasion of Shab-e-Qadr.

In a message, Haji said that Shab-e-Qadr also known as the ‘Night of Power’ is very pious and unique in which Almighty Allah revealed the Quran on his beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW, besides providing us the best opportunity to seek mercy and forgiveness from Him.

“This night marks an important event which changed world history wherein the best of mankind was bestowed with an eternal message of peace and love i.e Holy Quran,” he remarked.

He also urged the people to hold special prayers and supplicate earnestly for the end of this pandemic.

“I hope that with our sincere prayers on this auspicious night, Allah will bestow us with serenity and relieve humanity from the burden of this disease. However, while praying, we shouldn’t let our guard down and strictly follow all the SOP’s diligently,” he observed.(KNS)
