Kangan, May 19 (KNS): Sindh forest division Ganderbal have seized a vehicle with 21 cft illicit timber in kangan area of centreal Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Reports reaching to KNS said, a team of the forest department led by Range Officer Munir Ahmed laid a Naka(checkpoint) at Najwun Kangan in Sindh Range Kangan during the night and during the Naka a vehicle bearing registration number JK01E 9684 coming from Akhal to Najwun was intercepted however the driver of the vehicle abandoned his vehicle and managed to escape.
An employee of the forest department said that the driver of the vehicle managed to escape by taking advantage of the darkness.
He said that 21 cft of illicit timber was recovered from the vehicle during the search, while the forest department seized the vehicle along with the timber and started the investigation.(KNS)
