Ganderbal, Oct 09 (KNS): The officials of forest department and forest protection forces have arrested a driver along with illicit timber and also seized his vehicle in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Official sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that a joint team of FPF team,Forest department along with control room based on a specific input last night laid a Naka at Najwan area of Kangan. 

“During the naka a vehicle loaded with huge quantity of illicit timber was intercepted. During searches around 26 to 27 feet Deodar was recovered from the vehicle while the driver was also arrested,” they said.

Range Officer Sindh Forest Range Kangan, Muneer Ahmad confirmed to KNS that they have seized the vehicle along with the illicit timber.

He further said that the driver of the vehicle has also been arrested. (KNS)
