Rafiabad November 26:(KNS) The officials of forest department and police in a joint operation on Saturday evening seized a Tata mobile vehicle carrying illicit timber in Pazalpora Rafiabad Range of Langate Forest Division.

According to a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) reads, one Tata mobile vehicle bearing Registration No. Jk05D/5041 loaded with illicit timber Deodar/Sawn 8Nos= 25.26cft has been seized in a joint operation by Forest Control Room Watergam and Police Station Dangiwacha at Pazalpora in Rafiabad Range of Langate Forest Division.

The driver of the vehicle namely Riyaz Ahmad Pandith R/o Watergam has been apprehended on spot and taken into custody, statement reads. 

The seized vehicle along with illicit timber have been despatched to CSD Langate under cover of Form 25 No. 65577 dated 26/11/2021.

Meanwhile, FIR vide no. 190/2021 has been registered in Police Station Dangiwacha in the instant case, statement adds. (KNS)
