Jammu, Jan 15 (KNS): Sai Nath Univeristy mourned the demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and former union home minister.
As a mark of respect, 2-minutes silence followed by prayers was observed there in Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat where students, staff members paid homage to the late Chief Minister. In his condolence message to the bereaved family of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Vice Chancellor Dr. Shazad Malik (native of Poonch, J&K), called the former Chief Minister as a visionary leader who had the will and strength to bring even people of extreme different ideologies together.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said though former Chief Minister has gone physically but his ideas of peace and brotherhood shall remain relevant for long time in the political history of not only Jammu and Kashmir but also across the country.
The Vice Chancellor also remembered the historic Endeavour of Mufti for promoting education in Jammu and Kashmir and his decision of opening of cluster universities in Jammu and Srinagar districts. (KNS)
