VC KVIB chairs meet to review performance of various schemes

Srinagar April 17 (KNS) : Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, Vice Chairperson (HVC) J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) today chaired a meeting to review the performance of different schemes being implemented by the Board in UT of J&K. 

 
The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Board and District Officers of Kashmir Division. It was informed in the meeting that during the financial year 2022-23 Margin Money to the tune of Rs 144.94 Crores has been released for establishment of 6828 units (including 2732 for women entrepreneurs) under various Employment generation programmes viz JKREGP/PMEGP thereby envisaging employment to fifty three thousand entrepreneurs
approximately. Vice Chairperson stressed the need for active involvement of field officers in propagating and disseminating the aims and objectives of JKREGP and PMEGP Schemes among target group.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Hon'ble Vice Chairperson J&K KVIB exhorted upon the District Officers of the Board to work in a transparent manner and provide all type of handholding support to the youth for the success of their ventures and gave on spot instructions to all District Officers that cases should not be pending beyond 45 days. She advised the participating officers to act as catalysts in percolating the benefits of the government schemes to local masses. She further stressed upon all the District Officers to ensure that Women Entrepreneurship will be given thrust to empower the women financially in the UT. She further stressed to strengthen the credit dispensation in all district of the UT and said there should be zero tolerance for corruption.(KNS)
