Bandipora, May 31 (KNS): The vice-chairperson of district development council (DDC) Bandipora Kausar Shafeeq visited Laharwalpora village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district to take stock of the macadamization works being carried out on Laharwalpora road. 

In a statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS), a spokesperson said that she was accompanied by Sarpanch, deputy Sarpanch of Laharwalpora panchayat and scores of locals. 

“Locals said that Laharwalpora road was in shambles for the past many years and every time their pleas would go unheard as the authorities failed to upgrade the condition of the road.”

The statement reads that locals expressed their gratitude to VC DDC for taking up the matter with the concerned authorities and resolving their long-pending demand.

Meanwhile, VC Kausar Shafeeq thanked district development commissioner Bandipora for fulfilling the long pending demand of the locals.(KNS)
