Srinagar, Jan 26 (KNS): Following the call given by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), a complete shutdown is being observed across Kashmir valley today while the restrictions were imposed in Srinagar areas as precautionary measure.
All shops, petrol pumps and other business establishments are closed while the vehicular movement is also off the roads. Government offices are also closed due to a public holiday.
Notably, JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for complete shutdown today and had appealed people to observe this day as ‘black day’.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Meanwhile, forces were deployed in large number in Srinagar areas, where main R-Day function was held at Sher-e-Kashmir cricket stadium.
The venue for the main function was today changed from bakshi stadium to Sk Stadium in view of the ongoing contraction work at Bakshi stadium. (KNS)
