Vakil condemns lathi charge on Rehbare Khel teacher in Jammu Demands their immediate regularization

Jammu, January 05 (KNS):  Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Conference Sr Vice President Abdul Gani Vakil has strongly condemned police lathi charge on the peacefully protesting Rehbar-e-Khel teachers.

He expressed anguish against the unnecessary police lathicharge on the peaceful protesters who were demanding their regularization, enhancement of wages and release of pending wages.

Vakil said “Rehbar-e-Khel have been serving in different institutions and their services should be recognised by the Govt. Their demands are genuine and the treatment with them by the police needs strongest condemnation,” he said.

He said Govt should frame a policy for the regularization on a humanitarian ground and accordingly regularise all of them. “They are working on a very small amount which is insufficient to even by one day’s meal. The Govt should also enhance their monthly wages so that they can live a respectable life and provide better education to their children" Vakil added. (KNS)
