Usman Majid visits Waheed Parra's residence, offers Condolences

Srinagar Jnauary 21 (KNS): Former Minister and J&K Apni Party Vice President, Usman Majid, visited the former Secretary of J&K Sports Council and PDP Youth President, Waheed ur Rehman Parra's, residence at noon on Sunday to offer condolences on his father's death.

Majid visited Parra's residence in Naira Pulwama to express his condolences on the demise of Haji Ghulam Ahmad Parra, the father of Waheed ur Rehman Parra. He met with Parra and other members of the bereaved family, extending his heartfelt condolences over the loss they have suffered.

The 62-year-old Parra, a model apple grower in his region, bravely battled cancer for over a year. The son of a staunch Congressman, he leaves behind three sons and a daughter. He passed away late at night on Wednesday after a prolonged battle with stage IV cancer at his Naira Pulwama residence.

The former Minister expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the Parra family. "My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. May Almighty Allah grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannah," Majid said at the condolence meet.

He said that he stands in solidarity with Waheed in this hour of mourning and unimaginable grief. Majid prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and for the family to find the strength to bear the pain of this irreparable loss.(KNS)
