Srinagar, Jun 27 (KNS): Terming the killing of 200 unknown militants killed in encounters in the Valley as predicament, Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo Monday questioned that who will determine that the killed persons were militants or not?.
In a statement issued to KNS, Untoo asked Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to conduct probe in the encounters that took place near LoC and in border areas. “The statistic of the state home department over un identified millitant killings is worrisome in which it was stated that from past 41 months 348 militants were killed in which the identification of 200 militants was not ascertained,” Untoo said.
He said that that who will believe that the persons killed near border areas and LoC are militants as it has happened in past that the innocents were killed in Machil, and other places and they were labelled as militants.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Untoo said “there are already thousands of unknown graves in the state and now after such kind of situation who will believe that the persons who are being killed near LoC and border areas are militants.”
“Mehbooba Mufti has also demanded an investigation into the killings of ‘militants’ killed near LoC and border areas. If she was not having any doubt in this regard then how she made such kind of statement at that time,” Untoo questioned. (KNS)
