Unscheduled power cuts irk Mawer residents

Srinagar, January 09 (KNS): The residents of several villages of Mawer in Kupwara district on Tuesday complained about interrupted power supply in the area despite paying regular electricity bills.
 
The residents told *Kashmir News Service (KNS)*, the villages including Audoora, Qalamabad, Drugsoo, Nowgam, Lawoosa, , Shahrama,Warpora, khudi ,Lawoosa, and adjoining areas are not getting power supply as per schedule.
 
He alleged that when we go to Adoora Qalamabad Grid station employees, they reply that we have one hour of power cut from Arampora grid station, and  Arampora Grid station Order To then one hour of zero power supply out of two hours, people accuse the electricity department, saying that the department is deliberately inconveniencing people and disrupting power supply in the area.

Bashir Ahmad, a local resident from Qalamabad told KNS that they are paying electricity bills regularly but not getting the power supply as per schedule. 
 
"During 24 hours, areas are getting only 1, 2 hours of power supply, thereby making them suffer even in the  month of January ” he said. 
 
The residents said the PDD should cancel their load agreements as department has failed to provide electricity to these areas as per schedule. (KNS)
