Srinagar, May 23 (KNS): The Association of ISM Doctors Jammu and Kashmir (AID JK) Monday said that the association which filed complaint before the Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) over alleged ‘sex racket in Unani hospital Shalteng’ is a fake association and termed the filing of complaint as conspiracy to defame the doctors working in the hospital.
Addressing a news conference here at Lala Rukh, president of the association, Dr Jamal said that no such association exists here. “There is no office or any registration of the association. Even the office address provided by the so called association is wrong,” he said.

Dr Jamal told reporters, “The things have been dealt in a hasty and irresponsible manner. We should be quite aware of the sensitivity of our state where such rumours can create law and order problems.”
He said that earlier Medical Superintendent of Dr Javaid Ahmad Mir was arrested by the police on rape charges at Ajas area of Bandipora district in the wee hours of the morning. “It is unfortunate that the incident was linked with this hospital though that incident is not related with this institute,” he said.
“We strongly condemn the way of probe where the whole medical fraternity has been blamed without any verification and has tarnished our image without our fault. The authorities should verify the complaint and should come up with the results and the culprits should be presented in the court of law and punished under rules,” the association demanded. (KNS)
