Kupwara, Dec 28 (KNS): A 72-year-old undertrial prisoner died during intervening of Tuesday and Wednesday at district Jail Kupwara in northern Kashmir.
An official told the Kashmir News Service (KNS), that one under trial prisoner identified as Mohammad Maqbool Khan son of Abdul Gaffar Khan a resident of Kakroosa Vilgam age 72 years lodged in District Jail Kupwara u/s 306, 109 IPC since 10/08/2022 brought to SDH Kupwara for treatment where he died.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara, Yougal Manhas also confirmed the incident and said that after completing the legal medical formalities the body of deceased will be handed over to his family members.(KNS).
