Srinagar, Aug 06 (KNS): Government of India (GoI) Saturday approved the proposal of up gradation and new connectivity of roads and bridges under PMGSY in the state.
As per the official letter available with Kashmir News Service (KNS), the ministry of Rural Development Department has approved the proposals of up gradation and new connectivity of roads and bridges worth 2842.32 crores. “The number of works approved in the state under PMGSY includes 513 roads and 29 bridges,” the documents reveals.

“Out of Rs 2842.32 crores, the Ministry of Rural Development will provide Rs 2842.32 to the state while the state government has to share Rs 284.23 crore for the completion of these works,” the document says.
Notably, the state government had sent project proposals under PMGSY-I while the GoI as per the official letter from GoI to Commissioner Secretary PWD, Rohit Kansal dated 05 August 2016 under no. P-17024/10/201-RC (FMS no 998486) approved the proposal. (KNS)
