‘JK people facing worst kinds of human rights violations at state level’

Srinagar, Sep 29 (KNS): Since the people living in disputed Jammu Kashmir are facing worst kinds of human rights violations at the State level, the international community, through the United Nations, has the responsibility to use appropriate diplomatic, humanitarian and other peaceful means, in accordance with Chapters VI and VIII of the Charter, to help protect populations from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity.
This was stated by the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) which appealed the world body of United Nations Organisation (UNO), presently in Session at New York to take serious steps to resolve the issues like Kashmir which are continuously threatening the world peace and consuming human lives.
The JKDFP Spokesperson in his statement impressed upon the UNSC to get its resolutions about Kashmir implemented so that the people living in this part of the world can decide about their political future and enjoy happy and prosperous lives.

The party also appealed the world body to take immediate steps to save the lives of hundreds of political prisoners languishing in different jails in and outside Jammu Kashmir. The party precisely demanded for UN intervention in providing suitable medical treatment to its incarcerated chief, Shabir Shah suffering from multiple ailments in Tihar jail, Delhi. “Our leader, Shabir Shah is being revenged for advocating the implementation of the UNSC resolutions in the disputed region,” JKDFP Spokesperson said. He added that Shabir Shah has recently completed 31 years of his jail life only for his political ideology. (KNS)
