Srinagar, May 05 (KNS): United Jihad Council (UJC) on Saturday paid tributes to the three militants who were killed in an encounter that raged between forces and militants in Chattabal area of Srinagar today.
The UJC spokesman in an e-mailed statement issued to KNS quoted the UJC chief, Syed Salah-ud-din as paying tributes to the civilian identified as Adil who was crushed to death by a police van during the clashes in Noorbagh area of Srinagar.
“The slain Chattabal militants proved that Kashmiri nation prefers death over suppression. The sacrifices rendered by them won’t go waste,” UJC chief said.
“Militants are assets to nation and people coming out to ensure their safety is its glaring example,” he said.
“India can’t suppress the people of Kashmir through the use of force.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIndia should understand the ground reality of Kashmir and should resolve the issue as per the aspirations of people,” he said.
Meanwhile, condemning the ill-treatment meted out to the political prisoners including Shabir Ahmed Shah, Asiya Andrabi, Masarat Aalam, Pir Saifullah, Ayaz Akbar and others.
“The prisoners’ especially Shabir Shah who is ill is being deprived of medical facilities and it seems that under a well planned conspiracy, the lives of these prisoners are being put at risk,” he said.
UJC chief further appealed international human rights organizations especially Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch to take notice of the deteriorating health conditions of political prisoners and play their role in this regard. (KNS)
