Srinagar, Feb 09 (KNS): United Jihad Council (UJC) on Thursday paid tributes to Muhammad Afzal Guru and Muhammad Maqbool Bhat on the eve of their hanging anniversaries.
In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, UJC spokesman, Syed Sadaqat Hussain while quoting the outfit chief, Syed Salah-ud-din as saying, “Both the martyrs have shown a roadmap to the people of Kashmir in achieving their goal (freedom).”
He said, “Hanging and burying the two martyrs in the premises of Tihar Jail is expressing Indian cowardice and has put a stain on the judicial system.”
While addressing a high level meeting of United Jihad Council, he said, “The best way to pay tributes to Guru and Bhat is to take their mission to the logical conclusion.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelPeople must follow the freedom struggle with unity.”
He said that the mission of Guru and Bhat will be taken to the logical conclusion at any cost.
While condemning the statement made by RSS chief, Mohan Bhagwat in which he had said that everyone born in India is Hindu, UJC Chief said, “The people born at any place across the world who believe in one Allah, One Prophet and one holy book will be called Muslim.” (KNS)
