Srinagar, Mar 29 (KNS): Expressing serious resentment against the abrupt but malicious campaigning by Delhi against Kashmiri leaders, United Jehad Council (UJC) chairman Syed Salah ud Din Friday termed it as “shear mockery of Indian agencies”. He said that these agencies are mere electioneering tools as they have been reduced to serve some vested interests rather than national interests. He also said that it was unbelievable whether such institutions could ever stoop so low to present such an absurd and worthless vision of facts against the Kashmiri leadership.
As per an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, UJ C spokesman, Syed Sadaqat Hussain quoted its chief, as referring to the nexus carried by various local and Indian newspapers about the properties belonging to various leaders of Jammu and Kashmir identified by NIA /ED ostensibly for seizure, Chairman UJC disapproved the statement as false and far from reality and blamed Delhi for resorting to immoral and unconventional means to suppress the genuine voices of J&K. Not only the Kashmiri Hurriyat leadership but many others among Indian politicians have already raised doubts on the timing of such actions of Delhi including the ban on Jamaat-e-islami, JKLF and now the so called identification of properties for seizure.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Syed Salah ud Din argued that the properties identified so far are as genuine as the leaders themselves, facts of which are better known to public to which they are answerable and therefore can’t be misled .Terming this as a media trial to defame the movement and its leadership in order to detract the people from the cause on one side and to escape criticism during election time on the other.
Syed Salah Ud Din believes that such fallacious campaigning won’t work to deter the Kashmiri leadership and the Public from nourishing the movement, as such tactics has failed in the past as well. Jihad Council Chairman further said that ours is a just and legitimate cause and demands an urgent and honourable solution as per the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. (KNS)
