Kupwara, Dec 15 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two youth after raising slogans and carrying petrol bottles along during an elections rally in north Kashmir's Kupwara.

Reports reaching to KNS said that amidst DDC polls an election rally was held by People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) whose joint candidate Tariq Majnoon Mir is contesting ongoing DDC polls. At the occasion, two youth appeared and
raised slogans in favor of other party which created panic in the rally.

Reports said that after creating rukus in the rally, police swung into action and detained two youth from whose possession petrol bottles were also recovered.

SSP Kupwara Sriram Ambarikar told KNS that two youth have been detained after trying to disrupt the atmosphere in the rally. He said besides chanting slogans in favor of other party, petrol bottles have also been recovered from their possession.

"The duo is being questioned about the petrol bottles what they were meant for", SSP added. (KNS)
