Authorities suspend classwork in schools in Tulail tehsil in view of inclement weather

Bandipora, July 28 (KNS): Two wooden bridges  were washed away and a water supply tank was also damaged while roads also got damaged due flash floods triggered by a cloudburst in Chakwali village of Tulail in Bandipora district last evening.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that flash floods were triggered after a cloudburst hit upper reaches of Chakwali village.  

He said that two wooden budged were washed away, a water supply tank was damaged and roads also got damaged due to these flash floods. 

Meanwhile, the authorities have ordered closure of schools in Tulail tehsil in view of the incessant rains since last night. 

Sub Divisional Magistrate Gurez, Mudasir Ahmad said that they have sent teams to the area to assess the situation. 

“The situation is normal as of now while there was no loss of life reported during the incident. 
Executive Engineer PDD has reported that flash floods have uprooted and tilted an oil tank in Checkwali, resulting in loss of 1600 HSD,” he said. 

Meanwhile, peoples have been advised to take necessary precautions in view of the incessant rainfall. (KNS)
