Srinagar, April 2 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti, who is set to step in her father, late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s shoes visited the grave of Mufti Saturday afternoon to offer prayers there.
Mehbooba, who will be sworn-in as the 13th chief minister of the state on April 4, prayed for the peace of her late father at his graveside in Darashiko Park in Bijbehara town in Anantnag district.
The PDP president will leave for Jammu tomorrow to take oath in Rajbhavan Jammu on Monday as the first woman head of the state.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
She has invited National Conference working president and former J-K chief minister Omar Abdullah to her swearing in ceremony.
“Very gracious of Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba to phone & invite me to her oath taking ceremony. I look forward to being there on the 4th,’’ Omar Abdullah wrote on twitter. (KNS)
