Roads deserted, business establishments closed and Train services suspended

Srinagar, Aug 05 (KNS): Normal life has come to a standstill in the valley in the first day of the two day shut down call given by JRL in order to register protest against the what they said - any attempt to fiddle with the state subject Law.
The petition challenging the special Status Subject Law of the State is coming up for hearing on Monday in the Supreme Court.
According to KNS reporters, all business establishments are closed in the valley whereas roads are wearing a deserted look.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe railway authorities have suspended the train services on Banihal -Baramulla track. The JRL has given two day strike beginning from today.
Pertinently State Government on Saturday moved to Supreme Court requesting it to defer the hearing citing the reasons of preparations for upcoming Proposed Local Bodies election in the state. Sources said that the apex court was likely to defer the hearing following the request of the State government. (KNS)
