Srinagar, March 13 (KNS): Two persons have been tested positive for corona virus in J&K besides steep increase in number of persons put under surveillance who have been in contact with suspected persons.
According to Government bulletin on Novel corona virus, two persons have tested positive so far.
“ In J&K till date 1743 no of travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been put under surveillance, 1485 in Home Quarantine, 18 in hospital quarantine, 81 in home surveillance, 159 completed 28 days surveillance period, 85 samples have been sent for testing, 77 negative, 2 tested positive, 6 reports awaited,” bulletin reads.
The number of cases who are put under surveillance after coming in contact with affected persons are increasing day by day.
According to the government data, 1222 persons were put under surveillance till Wednesday (11th March), and next day (12th march) the number of persons put under surveillance reached 1433 persons, and today the data reveals 1743 no of travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been put under surveillance.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
World health organisation has declared the ongoing Novel Corona Virus disease as pandemic which has affected more than 100 countries.
All travellers having history of travel to Coronavirus affected countries are advised to undergo self-imposed quarantine for a period of 14 days from the date of their arrival.
Meanwhile DDC Anantnag Bashir Ahmed Dar has refuted the news reports that a woman who had shown signs of coronovirus has been admitted in an Anantnag hospital. (KNS).
