Jammu, July 25(KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday suspended two officials of the District Special Branch, Jammu, in connection with an ongoing investigation related to an FIR registered at Police Station Satwari.
According to officials, the suspension comes in the wake of FIR No. 153/2025, registered on July 24, 2025, under sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with section 3/27 of the Arms Act.
As per the suspension order, Head Constable Baljinder Singh (No. 1632/J, PID No. EXJ997434) and Selection Grade Constable Pawan Singh (No. 2070/J, PID No. EXJ076429) have been placed under suspension with immediate effect.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelBoth officials have been directed to remain posted at District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu and to deposit their uniform articles in the DPL store.
The suspended officials will be entitled to draw subsistence allowances as per rules during the suspension period.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu, Joginder Singh, JKPS, has appointed the DySP Headquarters Jammu to conduct a departmental enquiry against the two suspended personnel.
The enquiry officer has been instructed to complete the proceedings on merit and submit the findings to the District Police Office (DPO) Jammu for further necessary action. (KNS).
