Srinagar, Apr 28 (KNS): Two 'terrorists' of Al-Badr outfit were killed in an encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in Mitrigam village of Pulwama district on Wednesday evening, police said here.
An official said that encounter broke out in Mitrigam village following inputs about the presence of 'terrorists' in the area.
He said that in the ensuing encounter two 'terrorists', belonging to Al-Badr outfit were killed, while arms and ammunition were also recovered.
IGP Kashmir also confirmed to KNS, killing of two Al-Badr terrorists' in Pulwama.
Meanwhile, Kashmir zone police while quoting IGP Vijay Kumar said that both killed ' were identified as local 'terrorists' namely Aijaz Hafiz & Shahid Ayub of Al-Badr outfit and 02 AK rifles were also recovered.
He said that the duo was involved in series of attacks on outside labourers in Pulwama in the month of March-April this year. (KNS)
