'LG to lay foundation stone of Cherry Theme Garden'

Srinagar March 26 (KNS): Secretary Floriculture Sheikh Fayaz Wednesday said Tulip Garden will be thrown open tomorrow.

Sheikh Fayaz in an interview to KNS said they are going to throw Tulip Garden open tomorrow to boost tourism in Kashmir.

"Since the Prime Minster of the country took to twitter and appealed to people to visit the garden, it has become a challenge for us because the flow of tourists will be huge. We are thankful of Prime Minster Modi for encouraging our work and promoting the tourism of Kashmir," he said.

He said in coming days the LG Manoj Sinha will lay the foundation stone of “Cherry Theme Garden”.

"It is the new project of estimated cost of Rs 10 cr. This will boost our efforts, especially the tourism of Jammu Kashmir," he said.

Fayaz said, "Our goal is not only to make Tulip Garden, attraction place for local and domestic tourists but it will become global tourist destination," he said.

He appealed people to come and enjoy the beauty of Tulip Garden.(KNS)
