‘Visitors will see riot of colors for over two weeks’

Srinagar, Mar 15 (KNS): Unlike previous years when the famous Tulip Garden for tourists was thrown open for tourists with pomp and show, the Floriculture department opened the garden silently.
Known as the Asia’s largest Tulip Garden, the bloom attracts visitors across the World to see the riot of colors for over two weeks.
Director Floriculture Talat Parvez told KNS that the opening day witnessed nearly thousand visitors to enjoy the bloom.
“The opening of the famous garden begins the tourism season in the Valley,” Talat told KNS.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Overlooking the famous Dal Lake and located in the foothills of Zabarwan, more than 70 varieties of Tulips on vast land are grown here, the director said.
Due to warm weather, the tulips bloomed earlier and the garden was thrown opened before schedule.
“Opening the garden before schedule will have no impact on the tourists or the tulip bulbs. It will attract tourists to visit the valley early and will set on the season here,” he said. (KNS)
