Sopore Feb 18 :(KNS)A transformer went up in flames in Amargrah area of Sopore town in North Kashmir's Baramulla district on Friday evening. 

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) that, a 100 KV transformer at Amargrah locality of Sopore town caught fire leaving around 30 households under darkness. 

The transformer earlier in a day had some technical snag and was repaired by the technical team later on, it added. 

Soon after noticing the flames, locals and police reached to the spot and informed the Fire and Emergency Services department following which the fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames. (KNS)
