Train to Kashmir Inaugurated: Rahul Sahai Applauds PM Modi and LG Sinha

Jammu, June 5 (KNS): Rahul Sahai, Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Jammu, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating the long-awaited train service to Kashmir, calling it a historic milestone for the region.

Sahai described the launch as a “landmark day” for Jammu and Kashmir and commended the Prime Minister’s commitment to regional connectivity and national integration. “This railway line, one of the country’s most challenging infrastructure projects, is a civil engineering marvel,” he said.

It will also create new job opportunities for youth,” Sahai noted.

Sahai also thanked Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for ensuring that the train starts from Jammu instead of Katra, reflecting the administration’s responsiveness to industry and civil society.

He concluded by stating that ICC Jammu will collaborate with stakeholders to harness the full economic potential of the project and ensure its benefits reach every part of the Union Territory.
