Srinagar, Jun 24 (KNS): Train services resumed in the Kashmir valley after remaining suspended for two days due to security reasons.
The train services were suspended on June 22 following the death of a youth when government forces fired pellets in Kakpora in Pulwama, where three Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants were killed in an encounter.
The services remained suspended for the second day following call by separatists to hold demonstrations after Friday prayers.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“We have resumed train service between Srinagar-Budgam to Baramulla today,” a railway official said.
He said similarly, train runs from Budgam-Srinagar-Pulwama-Anantnag-Qazigund to Banihal have also been resumed from this morning. (KNS)
