Srinagar, April 17 (KNS): Authorities on Saturday suspended traffic movement on the road connecting Karnah to Kupwara following fresh snowfall. The traffic movement on Machil road has been suspended too after a fresh layer of snow recordedv in the area. However the traffic movement to Keran is through. 

An official said that It is still snowing at Sadhna pass and the traffic movement has been suspended on the road as a precautionary measure, while the traffic movement to Keran road is open. 

As per the official record, 09 Inches of snow was recorded at Sadhna top, 1 Feet at Z Gali, due to which traffic has been immediately suspended. 

Due to the fresh snowfall in the area, the Karnah- Kupawara-Machil road has been closed for precautionary measures, If there will be an improvement in the weather then hopefully clearance will be started, official added.(KNS)
