Trade union leader expresses displeasure against distribution of branches among SCERT chapter


Srinagar, Sep 19n (KNS): Trade union leader, Chairman SEECC and president Lecturers Forum, Dr.Manzoor has expressed utter dismay on the unfair distribution of branches among the SCERT chapter of Kashmir and Jammu.
according to statement issued to KNS, He said that it has raised a worrying concern among the intelligentsia in particular and the common populace in general,and the same has been expressed through electronic and print media. Chairman SEECC said on having a thorough glance at the pattern of share of different branches, the picture gets clear that Kashmir has been granted the branches and frills, while the Jammu has been accorded the main trunk of the SCERT tree,which reflects deep bias and partisian attitude of the people in power.Dr.Manzoor said that I am at a loss to understand that why the major branches like Teacher Education, Curriculum development,Social science and Humanities have been awarded to jammu,while Science,Mathematics,inclusive education..have been alloted to Kashmir.He said that such partition of departments have created anxiety,worry and every sane and sensible person has been gripped with high degree of fear psychosis.Dr.Manzoor said that it would have been in the best interests of winter and summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir,if Teacher Education, curriculum development, social sciences and humanities be shared by both offices of SCERT. President lecturers forum made an fervent appeal to His Excellency Honble Lietuant Governor of UT J and K to please address the genuine concerns with respect to unfair distribution of branches to kashmir,by taking all the concerned stakeholders from both Kashmir and jammu on board, so as to sort out the issue by consenus.(KNS)
