Srinagar, Jul 13 (KNS): Though the situation in Kashmir continue to remain violent from past couple of days, the tourist police are putting every effort to ensure that no overcharging takes place tourist police officials are on ground, an official said.
An official told KNS that the tourist police are trying their best to keep vigil at every place were Yatris are stranded.
He said that on July 9, a group of 40 tourist Yatris from Banglore were stranded at Srinagar airport in late evening and tourist police officials helped them by arranging transport for them upto Nagina hotel Srinagar.
“They were shifted to hotel at 9 pm evening and constable Feroz Ahmad of tourist police after leaving the airport was attacked by miscreants at Humhama, he got injured in stone pelting,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
H said that on July 12, a group of 106 Yatris were stranded outside the Srinagar airport in the evening, due to timely action of tourist police they were shifted to Susheel Mandir Sonwar where arrangements were already in place by Mandir authorities.
Tourist police wing of JKP is continuously regulating and monitoring the facilities for Yatris and tourists at Srinagar airport. (KNS)
