Says due to dedication of tourism dept, thousands of tourists visited valley this year

Srinagar, Dec 11 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor’s Advisor, Farooq Khan on Saturday said that there is a wide scope for tourism in the mountains of the valley and it will also open new doors of employment for the youth.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of International Mountain Day function organized by Tourism Department, Khan said that the educated youth who are in search of jobs can be benefitted by this field and they can provide employment to other youth also by working in different sectors of tourism.

Khan said that for the last few months efforts being are made by the tourism department by carrying out various activities which can attract more tourists to Kashmir. 

“As a result of the dedication of the tourism department, thousands of tourists have visited valley this year. I want to congratulate the Tourism Department as their efforts are bearing fruits,” he added.

He hoped that these activities will further increase the number of tourists in the Kashmir Valley. 

"The documentary made by Tourism department on the beauty of Kashmir is absolutely stunning and I can say that after watching the documentary anyone who is nature enthusiast without any second thought will visit Kashmir to witness the natural beauty of the place,” he said. (KNS)
