Srinagar, Jul 11 (KNS): The department of Tourism Kashmir has strongly condemned the killings of Amarnath Yatris on Monday evening and expressed grief and pain over the sad incident.

Director Tourism Kashmir Mahmood A Shah termed the killings has highly reprehensible and an attack on Kashmiri culture and ethos.

“We condemn this barbaric act that happened yesterday. All the people of the State are in deep pain over the killings. The act is highly atrocious and an attack on humanity. We share the grief and he pain of the family members,” said Mahmood Shah.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He said the gruesome incident has shaken the entire state is in shock over the incident.

Director Tourism Kashmir also visited the injured at the SKIMS Soura hospital and assured them of all possible help.

The department also held a condolence meeting together with the travel trade and hospitality sector and offered condolences. They also expressed sympathies with the bereaved families.

During the meeting, the members unequivocally condemned the attack on Yatris and also offered one minute silence in memory of the deceased. (KNS)
