Srinagar, July 19(KNS): Two militants, including a top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Sidiq-Khan area Shopain in South kashmir, officials said on Monday. 

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar told Kashmir news service (KNS), that two militants including the LeT commander identified as Ishfaq Dar alias Abu Akram were killed. He was active in the Valley since 2017.

He said that incriminating materials including arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of the encounter and the search operation is still going onon

Earlier Sunday late evening the  encounter between the security forces and militants broke out in the Sadiq Khan area of Shopian (KNS).
