Srinagar, Apr 27 (KNS): Though Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) called funeral prayers in absentia for the JKLF founder member Amanullah Khan who passed away yesterday in Rawalpindi, the authorities on Wednesday imposed restrictions in the commercial hub Lal Chowk to thwart the funeral prayers.
The various areas of Srinagar including Ram Bagh, Mehjoor Nagar, Bar Bar Shah, Jawahar Nagar and Pantha Chowk witnessed massive traffic jams due to the restrictions imposed by the authorities thereby leaving the commuters to lurch at large.
Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Tuesday said that funeral prayers in absentia for late Amanullah Khan would be held at LalChowk on April 26 (Wednesday) at 2 pm where tributes would also be paid to the pro-freedom leader.
