Thrown open RSGC for commoners: BJP

‘Waive off entry fee, train younger generation to play golf’

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday demanded that government should waive off the entry fee at Royal Springs Golf Course (RSGC) here and allow common people to visit the place.
In a statement to KNS BJP spokesman Khalid Jehangir said, “It’s unfortunate that only top bureaucrats and politicians visit the RSGC while the commoners have no access to the place. Only privileged class visiting the RSGC is not acceptable.”
Jehangir said the government should take an initiative and train the younger generation to play golf. “A few influential people have turned RSGC into their personal property and are calling the shots.”
He said that a few people in Kashmir are still behaving like British and have identified a few places where commoners are not allowed.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“It’s sad that a few people among us still believe that they are the elite class and commoners are non-entities,” he added.
The BJP spokesman said that PDP-BJP coalition is committed to provide equal opportunities to the people and treat everyone equally. “A few people who believe that they are above others should give up this notion as times have changed so have the rulers who don’t believe in promoting VIP culture,” Jehangir added.
He said that BJP has a clear cut policy vis-à-vis common people. “We want to take everyone along and want to see everyone prosper.”
