Three Drug Peddlers Held In Handwara, Narcotics Recovered

Handwara, Mar 05 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said that it arrested three three peddlers and recovered narcotics in the Zachaldara area of Handwara in northern Kashmir.


The police said that a police party of Police Post Zachaldara, while on naka duty at Sultanpora crossing, apprehended three persons who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner. 

"On search, around 100 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from their possession," the police said and identified them as Mohammad Anwar khan son in law of Khazir Mohammad Mir, Amir Anwar khan son of Mohammad Anwar khan and Suhail Ahmad khan son of Mohammad Anwar khan all residents of wadipora Handwara.

"In relation to this, FIR No.48/2023 U/s 8/20, 29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Handwara and investigation has been initiated," the police said.(KNS)
