Three Drug Peddlers Held In Handwara, Narcotics Recovered

 
Srinagar, Oct 10 (KNS) : Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police on Monday arrested three peddlers and recovered narcotics in Handwara area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district. 

An official said that a police party of Police Station Handwara, while on naka duty at Kachwari Handwara, apprehended three persons who had attempted to evade the police party in a suspicious manner. 

"On search, around 29 grams of Heroin like substance was recovered from their possession," he said and identified the trio as Javid Ahmad Sofi son of Ab Razak, of Khunbal Handwara, Gh Ahmad Mir son of Ab Khaliq of Chanjmulla Zachaldara  and Haroon Ahmad Reshi son of Gh Mohi Din of Warpora Zachaldara. 

"In relation to this, FIR No. 266/2022 U/s 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Handwara and investigation has been initiated," the official added.(KNS)
