Three dozen vendor carts, three shops gutted in Handwara fire incident

Srinagar, May 31 (KNS): Three dozen vegetable vendor carts and three shops were damaged in a late night blaze in ‘Sabzi market’ in Handwara.

Speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), ADC Handwara Nazir Ahmed said he along with a team of officers visited the spot to asses the loss. 

" We will formulate a report for further action of higher authorities, ADC added. 

Locals said tha due to the speedy intervention of Fire and Emergency Service, the fire was controlled to avoid the further loss.

According to locals, the fire broke out at around 9:30 in the evening in ‘Sabzi market’ area near Old Bus Stand Handwara. “

The fire service department team was joined by locals, police and Army’s to control the fire, locals added. 

Meanwhile the cause of fire has not been known immediately, official added.(KNS)
