The people accompanying Tanveer’s body were chanting pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans.
Police and paramilitary forces have been deployed in strength in the area to thwart any possible protest.
On Tuesday, the government said that Tanvir was a militant and that he was killed in a shoot-out with police and paramilitary forces.
Nonetheless, family contested the claims stating that how an active militant can stay freely at home.
“Tanvir was innocent. He was travelling to Amritsar for medical check-up,” family said. (KNS)
