Those found guilty won’t be spared: LG Sinha on Hyderpora encounter

Srinagar, Nov 20 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has said that those who are found guilty in the Hyderpora encounter will not be spared.

Addressing Sikh community at a Gurudwara in Chand Nagar area of Jammu on Friday, LG Sinha said that an incident has taken place regarding law and order and those found guilty will not be spared.

He said that there are some more things, which he will be discussing in the coming three-four days.

Notably, a magisterial inquiry has already been ordered into Hyderpora encounter, where four persons including two civilians were killed on Monday evening, even as there has demand of a judicial inquiry into the incident.

Police had earlier buried the bodies of two civilians—Altaf Ahmad Bhat and Dr Mudasir Gul of Srinagar in Handawara on Tuesday morning, however, after massive outcry and families of civilians protesting and contesting the police claims, authorities had to exhume bodies in Handwara and hand them over to their families on late Thursday evening.
