Srinagar, April 12 (KNS): Following complaint about spurious mustard seeds sold to farmers in Kupwara, director agriculture on Wednesday visited the spot to verify the complaints, however, nothing as such was found.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that in a prompt response to a complaint by a farmer from Kupwara director agriculture Iqbal Choudhary visited the spot to verify the complaint.
He said that the director along with the officials visited the spot early this morning and found that there was some confusion among farmer.
Talking to Director agriculture Iqbal choudhary, he said that taking the complaint seriously, I with my staff left at 6 clock from Srinagar to reach the spot in Kupwara.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
I interacted with the farmers, they have some confusion over mustard crops, which was cleared on the spot. The locals raised some other demands including regular soil testing, which will be done regularly onwards, Director said.
“On seeing splendid scenes of mustard blossoms, he hailed the hardwork of farmers and ensured all support,” he said. (KNS)
