Baramulla, June 25 (KNS): Tehsil Legal Services Committee Uri on Saturday held General Lok Adalat at Tehsil Legal headquarters Uri.
The Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee Uri ( Sub Judge Uri) acted as Presiding officer in the National Lok Adalat while as Advocate Hussain Ahmad Khan as a (Member), in the General Lok Adalat convened at Tehsil Headquarter Uri.
At the occasion, 74 cases were taken up in the General Lok Adalat out of which 40 cases were settled on spot, and an amount of Rs. 8,11,500/- has been recovered as a settlement amount the President Bar Association Shamim Ahmad Chalkoo, Secretary Bar association Uri.
Advocate Basharat Ahmad Sheikh and other esteemed members of the Bar Association Uri including Advocate Mohd Saleem Beigh , Advocate Mohd Aslam, Advocate Mumtaz beigh , Advocate Ashfaq Rasool, Advocate Sajad Ahmad Banday , Advocate Mehrul Nisa, Advocate Sabul Nisa, as well as General public participated in the General Lok Adalat.(KNS)
